What this app is
Rockrimmon Foursomes is a member-facing companion app for Rockrimmon Country Club. It helps members sign up for weekend rounds, get auto-matched into foursomes, track match-play results, run tournaments, and maintain a season-long leaderboard. No money is processed through the app and the app does not facilitate gambling. Match-play results translate into points on the season leaderboard for bragging rights.
Information we collect
- Account details you give us: name, email, password (hashed), phone (optional).
- Golf profile: GHIN number (optional), handicap index, preferred tee window, match-level range, match-format preference.
- Activity: weekend signups, foursome membership, scorecards you enter, match proposals you send and receive, match-play results.
- Operational logs: audit trail of key actions (signup, confirm, match accept, scorecard submit) tied to your user ID for internal debugging.
We do not collect device fingerprinting data, advertising identifiers, precise location, or contacts. We don't track you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
- Match you into foursomes by handicap, match-level range, and partner history.
- Build leaderboards and season rankings using match-play results.
- Suggest compatible match-play opponents on your upcoming dates.
- Send transactional email about your foursomes, approvals, and matches (via Resend). We do not send marketing email.
Who we share it with
Nobody, except:
- Other members of your club see your name, handicap, and the rounds you've signed up for. That's the point of the app.
- Our infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (transactional email). They are bound by their own DPAs.
- If required by lawful court order.
We do not sell your data. We do not share with advertisers.
Data retention
We keep your account and activity while you're an active member. If you request account deletion, we delete your profile and personal identifiers within 30 days. Aggregated statistics (e.g. season-wide win-percent distributions) may be retained in de-identified form.
Your rights
You can:
- Access or export your data — email us.
- Correct inaccurate data — edit your profile at
/profile, or email us. - Delete your account — email us and we'll action within 30 days.
- Withdraw consent — email us to suspend or close your account.
Children
The app is for adult club members. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll remove it.
Security
We store passwords hashed with bcrypt. All traffic is HTTPS. Database access is behind network controls. We log admin-level actions. No system is bulletproof — if you believe your account has been compromised, email us immediately.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and notify active members by email at least 14 days before changes take effect.
